This is the cake we bought at a French-named bakery here in Mizuho-shi! Although I don't think anyone there spoke French. It was for our 1st anniversary. We obviously couldn't bring our cake topper from the states. It was a chocolate sponge cake, it cost about 2100 yen, which is around $24. It was worth it for our anniversary! :) I can't believe I have been married for a whole year.
For some reason they gave us a candle, so we decided to light it. Perhaps this will become our special tradition....who knows!
